The 3D4KARDIA project aims to design and develop a digital library of 3D models of human hearts coupled with their 3D-Printed physical model investigating the full spectrum of congenital heart diseases focusing on the optimal preoperative assessment of patients through the combination of cutting edge clinical research, 3D digital modeling, additive manufacturing procedures and virtual reality technologies.

The project 3D4KARDIA was implemented in the context of the Action RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE and co-financed by the European Union and national resources through the OP. Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation (EPANEK).
The project started in November 2021 and is expected to be completed in November 2023.
